I don't get it. I mean, Lynch's least approachable movie was by far Eraserhead, his first one. Everything that came afterwards was comparatively easier to watch and easier to understand. The only one that came close was Inland Empire.

It makes sense considering film and literature have a lot in common as narrative vehicles in a lot of cases.
