People make jokes in real life to break the tension of real life moments. This movie was full of comedic moments because we would all just kill ourselves if we had to go on living every day without cracking a few jokes every now and then, even in the lowest moments. That's why this film is brilliant

Calling it "a comedy" is a poor choice of words but yes, I laughed more than I laughed in any comedy that came out in recent years.

Inbetween all the heavy drama there so many real comedic moments not just in dialogue but in editing, long takes (the procedure to seeing the body), the framing etc
