Finnish cinema is absurdly bad, all of it. It may be the worst filmmaking country in the world. In spite of being sandwiched by Sweden and Russia, this nation could never produce a Bergman or Tarkovsky, it just doesn't have the cultural DNA. Everything is either bottom of the barrel bydlo/fart/drunk joke stuff or ugly social realism about poor people (often drunk as well.)
