I feel that.
One day I passed by a big gaping drainage sewer and just felt some overwhelming urge to just go in.
So I walked through this sewer for something like 5-6 hours. Phone died halfway through so I was mostly in the dark.
I ended up coming out in the middle of a forest in the next town over.

It's like a genetic anomaly programmed into them. Maybe 1 in 500 will willingly leave safe food and mates for seemingly no reason, on the very slim chance they will make it to a foreign penguin population, thus ensuring genetic diversity. Of course, he will most likely die, also ensuring that this kind of behavior does not become the norm.

Evolution is very powerful, yet subtle.

It was just for rain drainage, no flowing rivers of shit or anything like that. The tube itself was pretty big, enough that I didn't have to duck down most of the time. Probably because it was one of the main tubes and not the tributaries.
Now the tributaries were scary because they'd connect to tube every once in a while and they would carry sound pretty hard so occasionally some weird sound would come out of them and cut through the silence.
>>
>>79649744

Recently I've been taking long hikes down this path into the mountains. There are signs saying I shouldn't go further than a certain point but I go anyway. I go a little further each time and quit when it starts to get dark. I think eventually I might reach the end of the path, or walk too far to get back before dark.

The last time I was there, I saw the footprints of some sort of large cat along the path, and I saw something moving like a blur twice in the distance. Probably just a deer.

I think it was just a bobcat. I hope, anyway. I only had a tiny little keychain knife and flashlight so I was going down this tiny path in the snow, only barely distinguished by some sort of tracked vehicle that had gone down it. The cat tracks were bigger than a dog's, and all over the path.

I kept turning around with the knife in my hand, head on a swivel because I know big cats only attack from behind and go fro the neck. So I walked down the path for maybe an hour like this, saw something dart off in the distance twice before it got dark and I headed back

>This is something I stumbled across while hiking in the woods this afternoon. There's like 25 missing persons posters taped to the trees, along with some ratty old bedding, a shovel, a large tent, and a collapsed handmade wooden cage surrounding a filled-in hole. I tried to get as many of the posters in frame as I could but the video was aborted when I heard voices coming from the direction of the adjacent residence. Recorded on the afternoon of October 3rd 2016 ("Mean Girls Day") in Suffolk County, NY.

>But nearly a year later, salesman Bill Penner was horrified to learn the incinerator was linked to the grisly May death of Tim Bosma, a husband and father whose charred remains were found on Dellen Millard’s farm after he’d been missing for a week. Police said Mr. Bosma’s body had been “burned beyond recognition.”
>Mr. Millard also spent time on a gaming website called Steam. His avatar – a graphic picture of himself with a bloody eye – was last modified on Nov. 13. Sixteen days later, his father died, reportedly of a gunshot wound to the eye. Police originally deemed his death a suicide, but are now re-investigating. No charges have been laid.

The car door is stuck. It makes me feel fucked up. I scream loudly like a wounded animal and i take a big rock from the muddy trampled ground. I throw the rock at the car door (my reflection glares) window with the power of an overpowered piston. It bounces back and hits me right in the eye, it implodes on itself. Collapsing into itself like the towers ,9/11. This makes me mad. A single mother walks by shaking her aged ass. I can't focus on it because of my eye. This makes me madder. I love ass. I lay down with my chest against the ground. I feel my heartbeat beat with nature. The rythmic pumping of my heart makes me think of pounding ass. I cry and my tears make small rivers in the earth. My car door opens. It was never locked.

>Take up wandering in national parks.

>Head out and start to walk off the trail (Yosemite)

>Find a good spot between an incline and decline.

>Keep walking along this route.

>Sometimes the woods go silent, I usually stop and crouch before looking around.

>Start moving when birds start tweeting again.

>Find a comfy spot with a fallen log to sit on.

>Sit down and eat some of the berries I picked as well as drink some of my coffee.

>Sit comfortably before I decide to slide forward and use the log to prop up my head.

>end up dozing off for 2 hours, phone died and alarm notification to head back didn't go off.

>Sun is fast setting.

>Decide to start hiking back the way I came.

>Realize I won't make it back in time since I'm tired and it took 3 hours to get to my location.

>Start looking for a decent area to set up camp.

>Hike up the hill to my right, grass starts to become granite.

>Want to get away from the trail I was on due to some signs of animal predation (mountain lion tracks.)

>Find a plateau that has a slight rock cover, surrounded by rocks jutting out at angles, awkward for an animal to get there.

Crocodiles have shown signs of intelligence.[79][80][81] They are one of a few predators that can observe behaviour, such as patterns when animals come to the river to drink at the same time each day. In one study by Vladimir Dinets of the University of Tennessee, he observed that crocodiles use twigs as bait for birds looking for raw materials in nesting.[82] The sticks are placed on their snouts and submerge themselves, and when the birds swooped in to get them, the crocodiles would then catch them. Crocodiles only do this in spring nesting seasons of the birds, when there is high demand for sticks to be used for building nests. Vladimir also discovered other similar observations from various scientists, some dating back to the 19th century.[79][81] Aside from using sticks, crocodiles are also capable of cooperative hunting.[81][83] Large numbers of crocodiles would swim in circles in order to trap fish and take turns snatching them. In hunting larger prey, crocodiles would swarm in with one holding the prey down as the others rip it apart.

Just to clarify what I meant. It's usually lone hunters / hikers that disappear within certain areas

This results in the clusters.

From what I have read since, people in groups still go missing, although it's usually only one person of the group.

I actually did this once too with a friend of mine. The tunnels got progressively tighter as we went through. Honestly, I wasn't scared at all at the time, except for the fact there were cockroaches fucking EVERYWHERE.

Looking back on it though, since it was used for drainage, and we were crawling through tight spaces, we could have easily gotten stuck and drowned if it started raining. Scares the shit out of me looking back.

I feel like most people have at least one life experience where they would be fucking dead were it not for sheer luck.

You do understand that in the nature those dead chicks are either kicked out of the nest out or eaten by their sisters or parents. Just go watch some nest cams with bird of preys that have 3 chicks or more, they'll always go down to max 2 chicks and the dead corpses either layabout with the other chicks picking them or they get kicked out.

There's something in us, I know it. Something that wants to go back. Something that understands completely that we have completely fucked the order of how the earth was supposed to develop. Or maybe it's something that wants to prove that even without all our tech, we can still come out on top.

Geologist here.
Did fieldwork in the boonies in Montana.

We saw a bunch of elk and deer fairly close. Was amazing. Also saw a badger but it just ran away. We got chased by hornets, that was fun.

It doesn't serve purpose in the propagation of genes.

But it serves personal purpose. Some are born to fuck. Some are born to conquer. Others are born to wander.

and some are born to waste their lives on chinese shitposting boards

Lol good luck trying to get enough leverage to swing that while it's chewing your neck. A stabby knife is better protection, or even better learn how to avoid confrontations with them in the first place.
>>
>>79660616
Mountain Lions are very solitary and if you live in even a slightly large town they would only be around in the most desperate of time. This of course make them that much more dangerous
>>
>>79649994
haha round boy
>>
>>79661338
I'm bringing both a machete and a smaller knife. And obviously yes I'd rather try to scare it off but the knife+machete makes me feel better.

>>79661362
Well there's plenty of deer in the area so I hope it's not too desperate, if there is one.
