I hate capeshit, but I love manly movies. Should I watch this?

It's good for an early 2000s action movie but travolta really phones it in. Thomas Jane is an alcoholic former military badass who gets revenge on his families murders by being a badass and manipulating everyone.

It's barely any more capeshit than Die Hard other than the source material which it follows very loosely.

Watch this instead..more modern than thomas janes verison, and has a better cast (mcnulty from the wire is the villan) and no origin story (besides quick flashback), just all punisher the entire movie
