People go on and on about the PT lacking various things, and my argument isn't that their wrong, it's that the OT had all the same problems.

Can anyone REALLY tell me that Luke was developed """well""" according to whatever arbitrary meaning of well used to judge the PT?

>ANH
Luke is a stock self insert "dreamer" protagonist who meets and old wizard and after only one "training" scene is able to call on the force to guide missiles with pinpoint accuracy.

>ESB
Learns some philosophical stuff about the nature of calling on the force, but then somehow became good enough with a Saber for Vader to comment on it/notice it, even though Yoda never taught him how to fight with a Saber. (whether he did it offscreen or not doesn't matter, as PT bashers wouldn't accept offscreen as an answer for something in the PT).

>ROTJ
Same thing PT bashers meme on ROTS for.
Just Like Anakin has become much stronger off screen, In between films Luke has become a borderline master capable of dueling his father into submission.

It never mattered that SW had shit writing for OT babbies, so why do they bash the PT for it?

Ok, I'll bite.
For ANH, Luke believing in the force is represented through Obi-Wan, the person who rescues him from his monotonous life and gives him something to believe in. Luke believing in the force isn't crazy, as it's role in the story is clear with Obi-Wan's instructions and teachings, and how Luke reacts to them.

The lightsaber training doesn't matter, as it's not really important to show the characters endlessly training to become stronger. What is important is the characters and their relationships.

Luke and Han have great moments together throughout the three films, so you can believe they care about one another. Obi-Wan and Anakin don't, they just yell and complain to one another. Having the most important relationship be developed off screen won't make the audience care for what happens to them later on.

lol

Who hurt you?

>Luke and Han have great moments together throughout the three films
Luke and Han share very little screentime throughout the trilogy.

Literally no one has ever complained about Anakin's power level

They spent most of the first movie together, and it was so effective and well done it was enough

>>79634800
Give an example then.
>>79634846
They still have good moments. They're at odds with one another at the beginning, but then save each other/joke around/etc. and end up liking each other. It's simple, but it works.

Time to kys for having autism, fuckboi millennial scum.

>Give an example then.
The entire first half of the third film they are brothers.
The second film shows them as father and son.

But that doesn't count because you don't want it to.

>somehow became good enough with a saber for Vader to comment on it
Vader was blocking all of his attacks with one hand. He was just testing Luke's abilities and feeling him out. Vader could have killed him at any time. Even the hand thing. Vader cut off Luke's hand to send a message. He could have just as easily killed him, but Luke was too important.

only good moment between the two characters throughout those three movies is in AOTC when anakin and padme join obi wan in the arena like "we came to rescue you" and he says "good job". that's it. the shit in ROTS is forced as fuck

>"That's the 10th I've saved you master lol"
>"That one time on that one planet doesn't count lmao"
>>
>>79633789
>even though Yoda never taught him how to fight with a Saber
He mentioned that Obi Wan was teaching him through the Force. He also only used his lightsaber against Vader and used a pistol otherwise, but pistols won't do dick to a Sith Lord so he had no other option.

By ROTJ he'd had like 5 years training from a Jedi Master.
>>
>>79635030
>The second film shows them as father and son
Anakin blatantly bails on Obi-Wan to solo the bad guys during the chase scenes. He's not being a good friend there.
>>
>there are redditors here that think the prequels are as good as, if not better than, the original trilogy
