The final episode is literally all Heist.

ok my idea for a show, hmmm...

desu i'd really like a show, something breaking bad / mad men style where they don't run it on too long, just tell a tight story, but not mini-series tight, its still an epic in it's own right, but its very finite.

Do something about radicalization, a show kinda like homeland in a way, but its mainly maaainly almost 100% from the perspective of the citizens, it's not a show about the FBI or CIA, it's a show about more ordinary people and I wouldn't imagine the government would show up in a major way until very late in the series if ever.

Main character could be an america loving Muslim with a progressive mind set who comes to America and experiences prejudices put upon him, but also other characters could be radicalized in other surprising ways, the way i see it its almost like breaking bad where its about transformation and pressure put upon people that eventually changes them, little by little. He has a best friend they begin to fundamentally misunderstand each other and grew into joining two different ideologies but keep it a secret from one another because in some ways they both compartmentalize that part of them and retain a friendship, expecting the other still pretty much holds the same values as the other.

I could see at first the main character, the muslim guy, he eventually starts having doubts about certain things and I always imagined a sort of Zizek figure in his life who is constantly both frustrating and mesmerizing our main character; he obviously knows a lot and probably knows more than our main character and he respects that but is frustrated with the way he goes about it, like someone so much smarter than you he is just playing with you. But I think it's this character who starts opening up the main characters mind to a sort of anti-american sentiment and down a sort of Marxist line of thinking, and it gets kind of extreme, for sure, (contd)

a show about DnD campaigns turned into real life

A school teacher that finds out he has cancer so sells cookies to pay for the treatment

Okay it's about a failing JUST actor who gets the idea to start viral videos about his "depression" and "downward spiral." It catches on and he gets a reality show about being depressed. He must act out depressed most of the time because cameras are around, but sometime during the show, the lines between reality and the show become blurred, and he thinks he's starting to become actually depressed. But he needs the show money to keep up with his movie-star lifestyle. He does things like say he's going to kill himself, and everyone congratulates him on the great television.

Other characters include his fake psychiatrist who he has to listen to for the show, even though she's not licensed.

Jerry Seinfeld, who helps write segments of the show and acts as a producer and starts controlling other aspects of his life.

And his kid that he shared with his ex-wife who starts to imitate his depressed ways.

And if we want to make it particularly Reddit, halfway through the season the reality show becomes reality as a PSYCHOLOGICAL TWIST, and the characters outside the show become part of the show. It's like Kaufman and Bojack Horseman wrapped into one.

A police drama with superheroes and villains.
The villains and heroes are OC so they can be killed. There is no primary hero or villain, and the emphasis is on the police and how they deal with the fact that they aren't the big fish. Kill off cops semi-regularly, but keep the senior ones who know what they're doing around. Have some leave due to stress or the horrors of the job. Drama/thriller/horror vibe, the experienced cops are highly emotionally damaged and whatnot.

Like that Gotham PD comic meets any troubled detective story ever, but I never read those comics so I don't know how close this is.

STARDUST (SUPERHERO/DRAMA)
In a small town, 4 kids are born with unusual abilities. After a blood moon, more people with the power start to pop-up, wanting to terrorize the town, they band together to stop them.

Superhero shows are all the rave now:

We all know that vampire genre is long dead or at least took a turn for the worse, so my idea is to make a vampire show that would return them to their former glory of sorts.

The first episode would start by us seeing the main character fucking a vampire chick that turns him into, but that deed means she broke the law of their society and she gets killed for it. Our MC is brought into a whole new world he had no desire being part of. He would be our gateway to their society, much like Max was in Mad Max franchise, and through him we would get to see the infrastructure of their society, political schemes, characters and some big shots, while also seeing how their society deals with the issue of rampant growth of the technology and how that affects them as a whole. The show would probably have a season of 10 hour long episodes on HBO and would run for 4-5 seasons.

You know these modern detective-drama shows that are pretty slow and focus mostly on one murder? Top of the Lake, The Killing, that shit?

Instead of starting right at it, you do it like those. It's about a male/female detective with a shitty life that gets thrown into this cannibalistic investigation after someone is found dead with bite marks over his body.
It doesn't even mention vampires, but there's this air of something being off about the whole thing. That radio host talk at the start sounds quite good, actually, I'd definitely put it in there. Also, your idea of introducing how our MC got turned is much interesting than mine and would also use it, might tweak some little things here and there, but you got the jest of it. I would start with vampires and werewolves, only later, like season 3 or second half of season 2 would I introduce other shit like that. Ghosts or something on a much smaller scale could be introduced early on, but Cthulu-esque elements of VTM lore would have to wait.

It's an anthology series called "Old Lady Gets Killed." Central to each episode is an old lady getting killed. Episodes are not tied to particular genres, themes, tones, etc. The only important thing is the old lady getting killed.

In a medieval fantasy time period, a young man is framed for murder alongside the group of actual murderers, boys around his age who hate him and treat him like dogshit.

In this world they don't send you to prison, they exile you to an island in the middle of the ocean, because some huge lovecraftian deep-sea god monster demands people as sacrifice.

There are people from all walks of life on this island, everything from starving poor people who stole a roll of bread to exiled royals who got caught up in the wrong political scheme. They are all reduced to equals on the island, despite perceived class differences.

Since this is just the pilot, the boy meets a princess girl who takes to his liking, and she tells him about her past and about the other royals' story. This pisses off the other murderers, because the girl is super hot, so they kidnap her and try to rape her. The protag stops and confronts them on some sort of a peer, and is about to be killed, but the monster appears out from the ocean and snatches up one of the murderers, saving the princess and the girl.

In my art of comedy class we had to write a premise for a show I used one where the show is about a kid who was born with a talking testicle.

The testicle is sentient and has its own personality but it doesn't have a mouth or anything, his voice just emits from the testicle.

The kid would be in high school. It would mostly be a sitcom about high school, and the testicle would kind of be a character more than the focus. There would be lots of jokes about sex and the kid and his friends being losers and trying to lose their virginity. The kind of main draw of the show would be it would be realistic about how high school kids act and look, sort of in the same vein as superbad, with a way less grounded tone.

Had an idea for one actually.

An unemployed university graduate, disillusioned with life, one night gets mugged and beaten up. Now pissed off, he gets a group of people together to exact revenge on the perps. He realises that there's some money in it - which he is in desperate need of - after he then robs them having beaten the shit out of them, and so he and his buddies form a vigilante gang that go round robbing criminals. Murderers, rapists, paedos, drug lords, fraudsters, loan sharks and common street thugs are at his mercy.

But of course it has the usual DESCENT INTO MORAL DECAY theme.

He decides to recruit the kid the join his crew. Eventually they do lots of cons, but eventually move on to killing and stealing from mob bosses, eventually the kid gets enough money for college and must decide whether to continue or not.
