It's the one where Jake says nigger, and they tackle racism ham-fistedly.

Why did DS9 tackle the subject so poorly, while TOS did it without people noticing right away?

Abe Lincoln calls Uhura a Negress, he apologizes, and she replies that they have learned not to fear words.

How badly will Discovery tackle similar issues?

uwot niggER????

TOS was reviled by many areas of the country and not just the bibble belt.

Only the moor racially diverse parts of the country gave it much of a chance and part of the reason they believe it's ratings suffered was because of the aforementioned.

Why does this episode trigger /tv/ so badly?

I liked this episode. Most people I meet like this episode. A lot have said that it's the best episode of DS9 because it's so relatable.

Everyone on 4chan acts as if this is the WORST episode of Star Trek to have ever existed.

>Same as Code of Honor.

Except Code of Honor was legitimately racist brimming with all sorts of black stereotypes (let's steal this BLUE EYED, BLOND HAIRED woman) and horribly written.

Far Beyond The Stars was a great story and well written and the point isn't lost on the type of modern day victimhood that shows the sort of unrealistic racism. That kind of shit DID exist in the 40s-50s.

Whereas today's SJW friendly films and television series have a great deal of forced diversity and emotional pandering.
>>
>>79610671
I think a lot of it is just memeing. And Avery Brooks has what could be generously called a theatrical acting style that puts some people off. It is a very relatable episode black or white. Strip it down and its a story of a man trying to get an idea he believes in above all while facing opposition at every turn. Everyone is trying to tear him down or to turn back but he won't do it. He won't change his story just to satisfy the higher ups or the supposed audience who won't accept it. Especially for a writer trying to break into the business its very relatable.

I should've added that you'll notice many of the "world leaders" and high Jewish elite like to use Luciferian symbols because to them Lucifer was a representation of all that was considered unrighteous and immoral and they consider themselves above a god who considers their methods to be sin.

But most of these people are Atheists while they use a guide of various Christian and Jewish denominations for PR. These symbols all represent their want or need even to have something that is above or beyond them. So they do wacky shit in the woods and other fucked up shit because their "god" allows it.

Joking aside, I was raised catholic but consider myself non religious now and celebrate the holidays that most people do.

Birthdays because it's to focus on yourself or your loved ones for a day, Christmas because the year is ending and it's an excuse for everyone to get together and exchange gifts, Halloween because it's fun. Easter because I like to eat an entire chocolate egg in the morning and feel sick afterward.

They were portrayed as superstitious hayseeds but there is some truth to that statement, albeit it's not all that profound. The intent was the same as Conspiracy Theory (the movie) in that look at these rural whites and as babbling crazies but those type of men are really the backbone of the country and when they die we become all of the worst western countries on steroids.

ENT S1 and S2 have maybe three or four episodes between them that are better than "passable" and even then only one or two are really good. ENT S3 starts out "okay" and ends at "breddy gud" and then with the exception of two of the worst episodes of any Trek ever ("Daedalus" and the series finale) S4 is absolutely top-tier through-and-through. It's probably worth watching the whole series (though it can sometimes feel like a chore) but there are three episodes in particular that you should absolutely avoid. Even in a show with a lot of mediocrity, these three still stand out as being at least Spock's Brain-tier and probably worse. They are so bad that they will make you angry that you watched them when all is said and done.

The worst case of that is when Kirk got married and got her pregnant but she dies. The credits didn't have music to emphasise just how important this was, but nope back to hunting down green pussy with the lads next week.

There isn't one. Quote about "an atheist muslim" is unverifiable. It hasn't been confirmed there being a muslim character.

There was an interview where a fan asked if there would be a muslim character to which Kirsten Beyer replied with the evasive and non committal
>The spirit of inclusion is not just related to sexual orientation

Which regressive liberals and reactionary 4channers alike have decided means yes, there will be a muslim character, rather than the more obvious meaning: they didn't want to disappoint the fan with a flat no.

Plenty of articles spouting that there 'should' be one though. No, there shouldn't be.

Harold Rosenthal was supposedly murdered for giving this interview in 1976 during which he boasted about how a group of jews are manipulating the stupid and gullible Goyim.

As with the Protocols of Zion, many jews claim that Rosenthal's interview is yet another hoax created by those mysterious and elusive anti-Semites.

However, as with the Protocols of Zion, what Rosenthal says seems to be true, so hoax or not, it is important to look at it.

http://iamthewitness.com/DarylBradfordSmith_Rosenthal.html

"We are god's chosen people . . . Most jews do not like to admit it, but our god is Lucifer - so I wasn't lying - and we are his chosen people. Lucifer is very much alive."

Harold Wallace Rosenthal - 1976

"Anytime truth comes forth which exposes us, we simply rally our forces — the ignorant Christians. They attack the crusaders even if they are members of their own families."

Harold Wallace Rosenthal - 1976

"We virtually get away with murder, and all the goy do is to talk about it, which is ineffective since we, the masters of propaganda, always publish a contradicting account."

Harold Wallace Rosenthal - 1976

That means drugs, gambling, prostitution, hot Earl Grey flowing - virgin territory for the man who knows how to open up new markets. One man could control it all, Jean-Luc.

What? Why?

I've not seen season 3 yet, but negress wasn't much of an insult. Fleming uses it in the Bond novels just where we'd say "black girl" today.

The idea that he would apologise for it or that Uhura would be offended is even more laughable. Imagine someone in 2017 getting offended at being called a red coat or limey.

He calls her a 'charming negress' and when she reacts slightly he apologises if he's offended her

>Oh, forgive me, my dear. I know in my time some used that term as a description of property.
>UHURA: But why should I object to that term, sir? You see, in our century we've learned not to fear words.
>KIRK: May I present our communications officer, Lieutenant Uhura.
>LINCOLN: The foolishness of my century had me apologising where no offense was given.
>KIRK: We've each learned to be delighted with what we are.

It's actually a good exchange in an otherwise goofy episode.

I haven't gotten to any episodes where they run into characters introduced in later series yet but it's kind of a let down to know it's coming. They couldn't resist the temptation, could they?

IOW, it fits the delusional liberal, communist agenda.

Wrong.

Those were highly advanced, regenerated Borg from "First Contact".

No one "forgot" about anything.

They didn't know who they were, or where they came from. So the only report they could have made is that they encountered som kind of a mysterious machine race of aliens. They certainly wouldn't have known what they were called.

Stop trying to defend TNG faggots who were BTFO, unlike Archer, and his "primitive" tech, which he employed way more effectively than any of those sissies who followed him.

They had cameras back then, even if it was labelled as "unknown technological lifeform" they should still have matched its designs in the Enterprise D's computers in Q Who.

Archer is best Captain.

Grabs borg and pulls out its borg tubes... commences killing it with his bare hands.

Archer is a real man... not a flaky faggot, a token gibsmedat, or self-entitled feminot like the rest of them.
>>
>>79639598

And then what? Go back in time to Archer's ship and... "correct the record"? Don't be absurd.

Okay, here goes..
So basically I have a penis and a scrotum holding two ovular balls called testes.
Now these testes connect to what's known as the prostate gland through a duct called the vas deferens.
Stay with me, okay? Now here, in the prostate, a fluid is secreted and expelled with a fertilizer, so to speak, called sperm.
They combine to form a mixture excretion called semen.
When in a state of sexual arousal, the penis, that long but limp shaft you see here, hardens via a balloon effect that increases the flow of blow within it.
As the intercourse of my species reaches it's "critical state", the prostate expels the semen through a duct that leads to the urethral opening, or the end of my penis, and expels it out into our female's vagina.
I could show you how this actualized if you are interested.

That Picard is an incompetent faggot?
That was already quite obvious.

They never had pictures of a cube. They never knew just how powerful the Borg was and a lot changes within 200 years.

Seven of Nine says in the episode "Dragon's Teeth" that the Borg's history was fragmentary all the way in the past over 800 years ago. Given that amount of time and the rate at which they assimilate species, it's reasonable and within canon related events to assume they legitimately had very little on record similar to those Borgs even if they looked the same and used similar tech.

Star Trek is undeniably liberal and progressive, but there were a few oddballs over the years that didn't fit into the leftisti utopia model like:

>that scene where T’pol explains to Archer the difference in IQ distributions between species
>that scene where O’Brien complains that ‘petaQ’ is just a word and it’s silly ‘only Klingons can say it’
>that scene where Ezri tries to ‘redpill’ Julian by showing him the chart with all the Bajorans in top media positions
>that scene where Kirk jokes with Scotty about Spock’s mother being a race-mixer
>that scene where Shran says "pinkskin" but starts stuttering after noticing Mayweather
>that scene where Trip votes for George W. Bush
>that scene where Gowron calls Worf ‘a subklingon fucking targ’
>that scene where Janeway says ‘we have to out-Ferengi the Ferengi'
>that scene where Weyoun jokes with the Breen that Damar drinks like he's Tusken
>that scene where Soval uses the phrase ‘the eternal Ando’
>that scene where Tuvok walks on the bridge and Neelix makes money noises
>that scene where Picards helps forcibly displace the Indians because of a treaty with the Cardassians
>that scene where Chakotay was actually Armenian but pretended to be Indian for attention
>that scene where Bones called Spock "Jew, Green blooded bastard"
>that scene where Worf enters Picard's ready room without knocking and gets phasered
>that scene where Kira coaches Ziyal on how to milk the Occupation for maximum sympathy
>that scene where a couple of these are real

Why?

That ugly bitch would only force you out of their lives, and then neglect your children for the sake of her own selfish vanity to the point of causing them permanent emotional damage.

Are you actually that kind of a sorry person who would want that to happn to your own children?

I see you really meant to reply to >>79623519.

Yes. There were some good elements in season 4. It wasn't all bad. The Vulcan and Romulan arcs were good.

But fuck that overrated fag Data as well as his fanbase. The Klingon arc could have been 1000% better without his stupid face chewing up most of the scenery.

The finale was appalling, and the token black "inventor of the transporter" ep was major cringe.

Also, let's not forget "Bound", that retarded green Orion slut episode. You'd have to be a fat, ugly, pimply-faced, sex-starved, permavirgin fanboi to find either one of those talentless cunts even mildly attractive. And don't even get me started on the whole, "The slaves were really the masters all along" bullshit.

It's actually a good thing that the show was cancelled early. With Coto in charge, it would have quickly devolved into yet another woefully gay PC fest only suitable for faggots, sjw morons, cucks, and trannies.

TOS really was silly and not always in a good way.
All the things that made other Trek incarnations great seemed to be absent from TOS except seasons 1 of TNG and parts of season 2.
Early TNG had a lot of the dark lighting and the music had a similar quality.

Oh... and then there's "Stormfront", which, aside from some wonderful visuals of a shuttle being attacked by WWII fighters, and the NX-01 flying low over Manhattan, presented a truly god-awful propaganda story about stereotypical, cartoonish "Nazis" doing stereotypical, cartoonish "Nazi" things, and topping it of with Bobby Baccalieri acting very poorly like a "tough guy" named "Carmine" with a "little sister" who is a moulinyan.

The best part of that two-parter was the part two intro... If only.
