You have made the comical error that assuming if something is done enough, then it must be worth doing without questioning it. Torture is worthless to get 100% new info, the only use is to verify information gotten elsewhere (which is itself prone to double bluffs, leaks of false information corroborated by tortured people who fancy themselves martyrs and "verify" the lie or have been lied to by their leadership as well).
