I watched The Handmaiden and Blue is the Warmest Color with my mom a few weeks apart. It's not weird. She's cool. She wants to watch Nymphomaniac, but I'm not down with that, though we've watched other fucked up Von Trier movies.

Back to Handmaiden, it's excellent. Top 5 of 2016, even though I think Oldboy is shit.
