the story was originally more like a sitcom with the world being alien and weird yet relatable, as if they took pieces of everyday life and put a twist on it.

It was plot focused but it centered on mark. Later on it became about different characters, got away from what made the show enjoyable and in a lot of ways had the bad luck to be on comedy central, and they often moved the show around so it was hard to keep a consistent audience on a network that already has anemic ratings.

It was killed for Brickleberry and the original creator held onto the rights through a buyout which also made the show unpalatable to keep going.

Disney bought out the company that made the show. So really it wasn't the show's fault but I suppose those are my problems with the second season.

It was funny watching mark going through shenanigans of life and trying to survive and somewhere along the way they went away from that for other shit.

If you go back and rewatch futurama you'll notice they didn't move away from fry centric episodes until 3 seasons in. And they still got canceled down the road.

I love love LOVE Mission HIll and as much as I'd love to see them make new episode, even if it's just for the sake of giving it a proper ending, I feel like it's really a product of it's time. Problem Solverz was actually good. It had better writing, voice acting, joke delivery and general world play than any of its contemporaries. But the visuals were so bad that it would have done better as a radio play.
