That actually doesn't mean very much. The quality of karate varies incredibly according to style and school, and most of the karate that's easy to find is terrible. Knowing people who were doing martial arts at around that time, it was even worse then. Plus, OJ was the same height, but built much more strongly; he outweighed him by at least 40 pounds, and (likely) had a knife. It would be surprisingly if that wasn't an easy fight for OJ.
