People always complain about the Galactus scene in Fantastic 4 Rise Of The Silver Surfer, but how the hell else would you make this look realistic in a live action movie? A dark cloud is the only logical solution...
>>79568690
OP's pic is metaphorical
pic related is how it's done and one of the best images from that mediocrekino
Frankly, Dormammu looked a bit like Galactus and did just fine.
>>79568690
why does it have to look realistic?
>>79568755
because its a live action movie. All marvel/DC movies are "realistic" versions of the comics.
>>79568690
You have a giant guy stood on his massive floating world-softening-up machine, casually absorbing every kind of hit from jet strikes and missiles. Could've been awesome.
>>79569008
>absorbing jet strikes and missiles
..man-made weapons aren't going to affect something that is bigger than earth itself.
>>79569174
He's nowhere near the size of a planet. Thing can trip him up by grabbing his toes.
>>79568951
Guardians of the Galaxy had a talking tree and a talking raccoon as serious characters, and now they're doing a talking planet. Glactus would fit right in.
>>79569576
You know he alters his size right?
>>79568690
>dark cloud only a logical choice...
Fucking retard
You could make him into a cosmic horror character and give him an intimidating presence to reflect that.
Make it like Shin Godzilla, where it's "oh fuck, what is he doing now?"
The cloud was stupid.
>>79568690
>Dark cloud only logical choice
Ok mr retard producer man
>>79571013
The post above and below yours and finally this
>>79570956
>>79571017
Okay, when do we kill Fox.
>>79568690
>A dark cloud is the only logical solution...
>>79569012
Diameter of the Earth: 7,917.5 miles
Distance from Earth to Moon: 238,900
That's 30.17 times the Diameter of the Earth.
Is should look like this.
>>79568690
That wasn't the real Galactus though.
>>79569012
wouldn't him just being there completely fuck Earth by distorting it's orbit
>>79572476
This is my favorite kind of autism.
>>79572476
damn the moon really is far away
>>79572725
Assuming he has mass proportional to the earth, the sheer amount of mass and proximity of it would cause tidal forces bad enough to rip the earth apart.
The orbit wouldn't matter that much after the earth has either disintegrated or become a molten ball of rock.
>>79568951
the top most picture is just them standing closer to each other. nothing hard to emulate about that.
>>79568690
How does a dark cloud make more logical sense as a giant man who eats planets?
Give me something here.
>>79572968
wow why is galactus so mean
>>79568690
>A dark cloud is the only logical solution...
>>79571758
Tom Rothman left for Sony
>>79572476
Based astrobro.
>>79572476
This is hilarious
>>79570956
>>79571017
The entire movie builds up the threat of the entire planet being destroyed at once. The silver surfer was literally creating holes in the earth so that galactus could reach the core. How in the hell would a basic gaint thats barely taller than the tallest building on earth tie into any of that?
>>79568951
Civil War was a shitty comic anyway and shouldn't have been adapted in the first place.
>>79572476
you're doing good work anon
Protip: Galactus ain't that god damned large.
>>79572476
You're not taking in account the perspective (although the image is still grossly incorrect). The Moon is 16 pixels, and the Earth is 74 pixels so ~4.6 times larger diameter, but the Earth is actually only ~3.7 times larger diameter.
>>79574527
Galactus is as large as it needs to be. Galactus' appearance is dependent entirely on the entity that is observing it. If it is being observed by some giant humanoid lifeform, then it would appear as such.
>>79575363
t. fox producer
>realistic in a live action movie
>realistic
>REALISTIC
fucking hate this word superheroes movies
pic related is how galactus was supposed to look like, only 1 million times bigger
>>79575724
That's the problem
A Dr. Manhattan whit the size of Galactus would look wierd as fuck
>>79568690
Could have at least done what they did in Ultimates and make Galactus a swarm of space robot bugs that all resemble the shape of his helmet.
>>79572726
better having a good sense of reality instead of reading comics.
>>79575903
Or alternatively there was a remaining that had Galactus as a giant space squid. This was a little blurb in some old late 90s or early 00 Marvel comic. They also had a really interesting take on Doom where Latervia was in central Asia (Afghanistanish adjacent) and made it more mysterious and remote than something in the middle of Europe.
>>79575724
Man, watchmen is soo underrated, kino as fuck
too bad Snyder dropped the ball hard with BvS
>>79568690
Can't wait until Marvel Studios does the Fantastic Four justice.
>>79568733
Not really, he looked pretty dumb. They should've made him more like the concept art with a flaming mouth and eyes and whatnot, instead of space cuttlefish man.
>>79576222
I thought it was clever how they made his line face match the weird fractal cg effects.
>>79569174
>>79569576
>Galactus
>Having a physical size
>>79568690
You're retarded.
>>79572476
Autism at his finest.
>>79572476
surely the big guy's mass would suck both the earth and moon into his orbit
>>79572476
>and still fantastic faggots will 'defeat' this guy.
