1. Not entirely true. RDM had rough general ideas. For example the music the Cylons hear was conceived of from the beginning and supposed to be in season 1 but they fwlt it was too soon.
2. Maybe. Don't see how it would have changed anything. If anything they should have had more time to think.
3. He's not perfect but better than most. DS9 was great and he had the guts to tell the Voyager writing team they were shit before he quit. He might be like a better quality George Lucas who needs others to shape his vision.
