It's definitely the movie that makes you wanna BE the main character the most.

In Sopranos Tony would always go on about "Gary Cooper, the strong, silent type," a hero he perceived to be dead. The protagonist in Drive is sort of that classic character, you don't hear him whine, in fact you barely hear him at all, he just deals with shit.

I think this is why so many men obsess over this movie, myself included. It's a very cool way to strive to be.
