I heard some people bitching that the characters in the great wall looked like power rangers, but Director Zhang Yimou is known for his exuberant use of colors in almost anything he does.
Pity the script was shit, but the visuals were pretty incredible at times.

I honestly don't mind the power rangers/sentai analogy, especially considering Damon's character wears red, in some of those series the Red character most of the time is a skilled outsider that everybody has misgivings about at first but ultimately earns their trust.
I'm not going to get bent out of shape by a historical fantasy movie with bungee jumping Chinese warriors fighting crytids

The final battle was in a stained glass tower which was a prismatic blast to the senses.
It reminded me of this scene from one of his earlier films.

It was an alright movie. Not bad, certainly not great. I thought it was dumb that they literally freeze when the queen dies though, even for a fantasy film it was dumb as fuck.
