Anyone else seen this? I thought it was quite good, a bit different from the usual semi-child friendly fare. Doesn't seem to have been given much in the way of advertising.

I'll take that as a no then

Yeah, good movie, super emotionally manipulative, lol. Check out The Orphanage by the same director for a different but similarly intense experience.

Thanks mate, I'll look it up
>>
It was better than I expected, it gives me hope for the I Kill Giants adaptation.

If I offer my opinion, I'll be destroyed.
>>
I wouldn't know because it's still not FUCKING released in Australia.
Jesus christ, the cinemas around here show absolute shit.
I had to drive for an hour and a half to see La La Land.
At least Monster Trucks gets two goddamn months of screentime. Australia is awful for film.

You did give us the Mad Max films though so take pride in that
>>
5/10. I'm not a kid though.

Found it quite depressing. Beautiful film if a little overwrought.
>>
Excellent film, but it should've ended at the hospital bed. If Pan's Labyrinth is 9/10, this one's a 7.5, narrative-wise.

The animated scenes were a bit weird, but the ideas were powerful.

reminded my of the comic i kill giants

one of the worst movies of the year; 3.5 / 10

because:

1. hackneyed
2. non realistic from a human behavior perspective
3. really shit dialogue and wooden acting (thanks Liam)
4. special effects we've seen too many times already
5. not really modified for younger audiences or older audiences, like Angry Birds movie and Where The Shitty Things Are
6. protagonist is flat as a limp balloon
7. sigourney weaver accent -- WHAT THE F___
8. really stupid adult character responses
9. really stupid characters all around
10. shills -- fuck you pajeet
11. should have been a movie short, left to fall into oblivion
>>
>>79519887

>the ideas were powerful

really -- what were these "ideas"
>>
>>79515751
It was good, but not quite good. It wasn't bad.
