I just watched that one on Amazon Prime. I was on board for probably the first half, but by the end had pretty checked out when I realized that the main character was an actual creep.

The Edge and The way back are 2 of the best survival films out there.

Ah, I fucking love The Edge! I play BF1 with my brother and launch into the "what one man can do, another can do" speech. Seeing the black guy get eaten was fucked up for me as a kid, though.

The Hunted(2003) and Killing Season(2013) are both chase movies with survival elements. It's been a while but from what I remember Jeremiah Johnson(1972) is a good mountain man movie.
