Yes he did, the ending, Bateman's jealousy (business card scene) and inability to get caught is the whole point of the story. It's a satire on how yuppies try to differentiate themselves from their peers by trivial stuff (my business card is better than yours, my haircut is better than yours) because essentially they all act alike, look alike and dress alike, they even have the same position within the company (Vice president). In other words they lose their identity in exchange for greed, and because Bateman has no identity anymore (Marcus Halberstram, Paul Allen) he was able to get away with all the things he did.

Good movie. Thought it was a little aimless in trying to prove a greater point though. Ending just kind of happens and little is resolved or explained and with how much emphasis they put on the violence this feels like a cop-out.

I agree with what you said about yuppies being unable to differentiate between each other but I think the point of the movie (more so the book) is that it really doesn't matter if he killed those people, it's deliberately ambiguous.

This is because of the fact that they are unable to differentiate from each other, hold the same positions; they are all completely replaceable despite their self-importance and theoretically somebody could murder a dozen of them and it wouldn't make a dent on the social circles they inhabit.

Bateman almost completely decompensates into psychosis towards the end of the story and barely anybody notices; this is a commentary on how yuppies seem obsessed with each other but really it's only a surface level obsession, somebody could be extremely mentally unwell and they wouldn't notice as long as he looks nice.
