>The Shankill Butchers was an Ulster loyalist gang—many of whom were members of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF)—that was active between 1975 and 1982 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

>It was based in the Shankill area and was responsible for the deaths of at least 23 people, most of whom were killed in sectarian attacks. The gang was notorious for kidnapping and murdering random Catholic and suspected Catholic civilians; each was beaten ferociously and had his throat hacked with a butcher's knife. Some were also tortured and attacked with a hatchet. The gang also killed six Ulster Protestants over personal disputes, and two other Protestants mistaken for Catholics.

In September 1978, Chikatilo moved to Shakhty, a coal mining town near Rostov-on-Don, where he committed his first documented murder. On 22 December, Chikatilo lured a 9-year-old girl named Yelena Zakotnova to an old house which he had secretly purchased; he attempted to rape her but failed to achieve an erection. When the girl struggled, he choked her and stabbed her three times in the abdomen, ejaculating while stabbing the child. In an interview after his arrest, Chikatilo later recalled that after stabbing Yelena, the girl had "said something very hoarsely", whereupon he strangled her into unconsciousness before throwing her body into the nearby Grushevka River. Her body was found two days later.

Dude trips me out. He believed he needed to kill to stave off the apocalypse or some shit. Eventually, he started to believe that his hallucinations were caused by drug use, so he finds the house of the kid who sold him drugs in school years before, but he doesn't live there. The current resident tells him where the guy lives so he goes and finds him, murdering him and his wife. All because he sold him some weed in school.

Would /tv/ consider Josef Mengele a serial killer?

documentaries have such little information in them about how serial killers carry out their murders. Is their some reliable site that provides detailed descriptions?

Who's the Aussie nonce who got caught in a country in Asia (I forget which) and was so bad with his raping and killing of kids that they're trying to bring back the death penalty to kill him? I don't know if a biopic on him would be any good but I can't remember who he is and this seems as good of a place as any to ask.

Serial killer movies don't have a big narrative arc. Weirdo acts weird, kills a few people, gets arrested/dies. Eventually you get tired of the gross atmosphere.

Can anyone tell me which Elizabeth Bathory films are any good, if any? She's interesting and pretty fertile ground for some good old fashioned horror and especially vampire shenanigans without being entirely ahistorical, so I'd imagine, as the horror elements are already there, the filmmakers wouldn't feel the need to add ridiculous things like most 'based on a true story' horror films.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did anyway and there were no good ones though.
