I went to the 30th birthday celebration at the LACC which was sort of just ComiCon but only for Star Wars.

Pretty much ruined the series for me with just how awful it was
>Most of the original cast weren't there, just Hamill and Fisher
>the rest were Anthony Daniels and people not even associated with Star Wars like Chris Gore and Seth Green who I think were making documentaries and were giving people the impression they'd be featured
>Hamill didn't even give a shit about Star Wars, he was busy shilling his comic book Black Pearl along with the Arkham Asylum videogame
>Fisher was at least kind of nice but most people didn't give a shit about the character just about the bikini

>Finally we were all rushed to the auditorium for a the special presentation
>think we'll finally see Lucas
>Anthony Daniels comes on stage and basically does the entire thing talking about random shit like how you shouldn't eat chocolate before doing a take
>then announces shit like The London Symphony Orchestra doing concerts, only like 3 were the in the U.S. the rest in Europe and Asia
>finally a message from Lucas himself, pre-recorded of course, that just said thanks for coming and watching Star Wars now back to my friend C3PO Anthony Daniels

>an 'exclusive' toy line made by Hasbro for this event, people even told you won't be able to get these again that they're made in limited quantity
>it all just looks half-assed and they're all the 3 inch figures that soon went out to Walmart shelves
>lost interest for a while
>find out Lucas sold out to Disney
>just drop Star Wars altogether, its just going to be an even bigger money pit than it was before
