He wasn't bad by any means, but Arnie as the model 101 in the original movie was fucking 10/10. It's a tough act to follow. I do have to give Cameron props for doing something different instead of just getting another guy to play the role the exact same way as Arnold.

It takes a little too much from the first movie. The tanker truck chase, the second act where they lose the enemy Terminator for awhile, the final showdown in a factory, etc. They could have done something more original.

The film is mostly action with some slasher and proto-cyberpunk elements, and a short pause for reflection in the second act. Also there is nothing in T2 as visceral as the police station shootout.
