Watching it now, this movie makes me feel kinda nostalgic for a simpler time. It was made in 2001, when boomers were still looked at as these "legendary" 60s fatherly figures, and weren't universally hated yet.
But then, everything changed in 2007-08, when the economy crashed...
itt: movies only millenials know exist
9/11 was the end of the good times in the U.S.

I'd say fall-winter 2006 was when everything went to shit
early 2000's movies ( and tv shows) were and still are my shit. theres just something so cozy about them. Like the after shocks of 9/11 didnt hit yet and the economy was still in tact before 08
No you idiots, things objectively stopped being good when insert time when you reached adulthood.

I was rewatching Recess too, it was a great show
it makes you nostalgic because its a kids show aimed for children's attnetion. Same reason why we talk about the golden age" of cartoons like hey arnold, edd ed n eddy, codename kids next door, and so on. You could watch them now but it feels different, like an old food that doesnt taste bad but just familiar and youre kind of over it. Now youre an adult so you can see how cheesy most of it is, maybe enjoy the memories but youre an adult now so you prefer adult shows becuase they speak to you on a personal level
kids shows focus on kids stuff in an adult world and how they interpret it, once you get older you realize how petty it is

Boomers were always shit, we just didn't realize it because we were happy elementary/middle school blue pilled kids
