CIA (whispering): Jesus. Pavel? On a Friday night? How'd he swing that?

SMEE (whispering): I think he's lying.

Batman is kneeling as CIA pulls off his hood.

CIA (suddenly enthused): What's that, you can talk?

BATMAN: New mask. What do you think?

Smee takes it off and examines it carefully.

SMEE: Whoa. Very nice. Take a look.

He hands it to Heer.

BATMAN: Picked them up from the costume store yesterday.

HEER: Good coloring.

BATMAN: That's bone. And the ridges are something called Silian Rail.

SMEE (envious): Silian Rail?

HEER: It is very cool, Batman. But that's nothing.

He pulls the hood off another mercenary.

HEER: Look at this.

They all lean forward to inspect it.

CIA: That's really nice.

Batman clenches his bonded fists, trying to control his anxiety.

HEER: Eggshell with Kevlar lining.

(Turning to Batman)

BATMAN (croaks): Nice.

CIA (pulling the mask off): Jesus. This is really super. How'd a nitwit like you get so tasteful?

Batman stares at his own mask and then enviously at Ahyred Gunn's.

BATMAN (V.O.): I can't believe that CIA prefers Ahyred Gunn's mask to mine.

CIA: But wait. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

He unmasks another of Bane's men.

CIA: Painted decals, pale nimbus white...

BATMAN (choking with anxiety): Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Bane's mask.

CIA pulls a the hood off the middle man.

CIA: You're a big guy.

Batman swallows, speechless. The sound in the plane dies down and all we hear is a faint heartbeat as Bateman stares at the masked man.

BATMAN (V.O.): Look at that subtle menace, the tasteful proportions of it... Oh God, it even changes his voice.

His hand shaking, Batman turns to the big guy and looks at him until he fills the screen. The sound returns to normal.

BANE: For you.
