Why does BSG have the Gayatri at the beginning besides making it look pretentious, it's not like the lyrics had any special connection to the series.

Why did they give people greek mythology names such as Apollo and not have them carry out any of the greek mythology stories, its not like they missed a huge opportunity.

Why did everyone including madam president suddenly become a pro boxer in that one episode.
In that same episode why did Starbuck coffee suddenly forget the conflict she has with her female counterpart.

Why was the shows main focus around a woman who was dressed quite erotically, is this the only thing the show had going for it? Racy women to suck in the audience?

The pushing of militaristic authority as the only "right" way to rule in the show never sat well with me.

Season One is so strong, and the overall tone of the show so engaging, that people forgive that stuff. I am a huge BSG fan, I will admit the series goes down hill with each season, but I still like it.

Re-watching the Cain arc years later and it's very clear how douchey the Galactica's crew is. First you have Lee telling Pegasus' CAG to his face that his dad is the Commander for no reason, and just continual insubordination of the crew and disregard for protocol and the chain of command

The daimonion aspect of the series is present since the beginning. I have a lot of reservations about the last two season, and especially the series finale but this isn't one of them.

Still would have been better were the series just randomly cancelled after the second season.
