I rewatched PotC 1 - 3 recently. 1 is about as good as I remember, 2 is a bit worse than I remember (first hour is shit), 3 is slightly better than I remember (top tier visuals but still a mess). Planning to rewatch 4 soon, kind of dreading it but maybe I can squeeze some enjoyment out of it.

They're really awful and they were Marvel-tier before Marvel got the be-all-end-all of Hollywood. Quips, OTT cartoonish, Depp is terrible, cliches everywhere. Davy Jones and the Kraken were amazing, though, but the latter got smoked liek a bitch.
