what does /tv/ think of this show

Has the twist come that makes this an alternative universe and the USSR actually wins the cold war?

Hyped as shit for the new season.

Doesn't get enough praise for:

>Hiring actual russian actors.
>Doing research
>Tying up loose storylines
>No filler episodes

Seriously, just for the effort put into this show, it should be discussed way more often.

I liked it up until they decided that a good storyline to have would be an interracial cuckold plotline with the lead actress sleeping with the leader of the Black Panthers

Genuinely one of the GOAT shows, Sopranos/Wire tier and I'm glad to see that after the last season it's starting to get a lot more recognition.

I just fear that the writers will start dumbing down the show now, like what happened with Breaking Bad.

I'd hate to come on /tv/ one day and get told to go back to Plebbit for liking this show.

The first season's good but at times feels a bit too much like a cheap Hollywood action thriller.

It's when it gets to season two that the writing truly hits it's stride.

Gotta say though, it has maybe the best pilot of any drama I've watched, and I've seen all the big ones like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and The Wire.

Along with The Young Pope and The Leftovers, The Americans is one of the best recent shows.
