I went to the best performing high school in my city and we got jack shit. We had a run-down gymnasium, outdated sports equipment, TVs that were over 15 years old, only a small computer lab of up-to-date computers (this was a school of 1.9k btw) and no funding for any of our arts programs. Meanwhile, the worst school in the district (which just happened to be all-black and slightly smaller than us) had so much funding, there were 10 different smartboards scattered around the school, an HD TV in every classroom, a brand new gymnasium, and 3 separate computer labs with up to date computers. They constantly had large budgets for their arts programs, especially band (which was not being paid for by alumni donations).

I understand that we didn't need the funding, but fuck me my high school was a piece of shit, while people who didn't give a shit about school had EVERYTHING. It's bullshit. Education needs extreme reform.

But that's not government related. That's the problem. Everyone made communism a political entity when it's supposed to be aboit economics.
