Decent but very unnecessary, basically telling a story we didn't really need. Good performances from Bremner and Carlyle. Weak soundtrack compared to the first.

Seemed a bit soft compared to Welsh's usual stuff.

I was uncomfortable during the entire film anticipating something dreadful happening, but it never did.

Seemed a bit sentimental. To give everyone a happy ending seemed like, to take away some of the edge of Trainspotting where it was such an important thing for Renton to get away from the life. If someone like Spud can come away basically fine then it seems a bit cheap.
