Dude, he became disillusioned with the empire once he heard the story from a different view (Zebs). The process didn't happen immediately, either. It took him like half a season to make the turn. I prefer him that way anyway. Besides, im pretty sure he was carrying guilt beforehand.

Oh fuck off. He's ISB, Space Gestapo. You only get selected for that if you are a true cruel zealot. He kicks a Imperial officer to his death in the first episode. He gets positively giddy when he can conspire with Vader to lure Tua to her death. He enjoys torture.

Maybe, MAYBE if they made him turn over several seasons it could have been believable. But even then, they never should have made him ISB to begin with.

You can't have a character poison civilians one day and then play the 'but he's really sad u guys' card the next.
