Not really. The adult half of the picture drags on with poor acting by the adult cast. Curry is good as Pennywise but loses all the menace he had in the beginning.

People like to shit on it but for being a TV movie based on an incredibly violent, horrific and dense book they do a good job steamlining it and adapting it to the small screen. The performances are what sells it, though. Like, yeah, Curry's performance is legendary but the kid's did a fantastic job as well.
