Yet again Star Wars will be the highest grossing film of the year. Second place will be a fight with Transformers and Justice League, they bring in serious cash overseas. Thor should beat Guardians due to the scope, lore, and actual meaning it (hopefully) brings to the MCU this time around. Spiderman will probably be the least profitable of the 3 Marvel Movies. rounding it out Beauty in the Beast, top 5 grossing movies of 2017.

Doctor Strange didn't even crack 700mil and nobody likes the Thor films. You're out of you're mind if you think Strange is as popular as Rocket and Groot

GotG has a real chance for the money maker of the year, anyone who doesn't think so is a complete idiot. Gaurdians is a phenomenon, while it doesn't have the merchandising power of star wars as a film it's much more enjoyed by the masses. It also has the benefit of way better international movies, star wars is fucked in china but GotG will clean up. Plus the early word is that G2 is even better than the first film.

My fucking mom went to see gotg for shits sake, no matter how much they push star wars to the under 30 females no woman over 30 gives a fuck about Star Wars, while literally everyone loved GotG

I don't think The Last Jedi is gonna make as much money as The Force Awakens, but GOTG 2 might have a chance at beating the last one since the first one gathered up a fanbase.

Now between those 2, Star Wars always wins.
