Vote for who should win the Oscars.

the only category I'd seen every film for was animated short and I voted for Pear Cider and Cigarettes
That was so vastly superior to every other entrant I'll be really upset if it loses to the fucking pixar one because OMG THAT BIRD IS SO CUTE!

the only real head scratcher to me is that they nominated 2 shit songs from la la land instead of one of the good ones like the opening number
>>79312523
if you think those songs are shitty, then who cares about your taste in youtube videos niggerfaggot
>>79312556
city of stars was the worst song in the whole movie, how the fuck could you think it was deserving?
>>79312523
I dont think the songs are shit but i agree that the first two songs are leagues better.
The 5 original song nominees honestly should all be La La Land
Someone in the crowd, another day of sun, what a waste of a lovely night, city of stars, and audition were all better than literally every other song made for a movie this year.

>nobody is giving Lion any votes
Good.
I cant fucking believe that shit film was nominated
>>79312793
the only one from that category I saw was The Salesman
it was alright
>>79312770
shame its only original songs, otherwise this would be a lock

the music might have been good but man was I disappointed by the dancing in every number other than another day of sun, compare it to any single Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire movie and it can't hold a candle in that regard.
No Dames from Hail Caesar was the only memorable dance number of any film of 2016.
>>79312610
it's better than everything else nominated
A bit disappointed that Hardcore Henry wasn't nominated for editing or cinematography, but what the hell do I know.
I'd probably give editing to Hacksaw Ridge just for that one battle scene alone, my god it was incredible.
>Some meaningless piece of shit I've never heard of will win best picture and be promptly forgotten about forever the next day like that anti-catholic thing from last year
I remember when shit like Gladiator and LOTR won. Critics weren't completely out of touch back then.

You didn't like Spotlight?
Holy shit I don't care about any of those movies.

I am shocked that Hugo Weaving wasn't nominated, he wasn't in Hacksaw for very wrong but he made a huge impact and playing the PTSD violent alcoholic war veteran perfectly.

>staying awake during the first hour of hacksaw
Nice to see the reddit La La Land circlejerk in this poll
Weak ass group of nominees for best original score iyam. Academy almost never gets that right anyways nowadays
>White Helmets
Really galvanizes the old gray matter
Only saw this film and Hail, Caesar lmao
