I got a Joe's Crab Shack Ragin' Cajun Steampot to go and snuck it into the cinema under my greatcoat. Unfortunately, I forgot about the ventilation holes in the container lid and spilled spicy liquid all over myself. It was also very messy to eat. Every time I cracked a crab lag, deshelled a shrimp, or sawed the corn off the cob, a little bit of liquid sprayed all over. I was ripe with pungent Cajun aroma. I could hear a couple people a few rows back asking what that smell was, and the girl in front of me had to leave in the middle of the film because it was overwhelming her. It was delish, though.

i do not eat in movie theatres. EVER. i havent for decades (well, maybe a few times when i was actually starving or something). i have no desire to do so. the popcorn is shitty, the candy is overpriced, the sodas have corn syrup. i have to be reminded to sneak in snacks for my stepson by my wife, or i forget. i am there to watch a fucking movie. people who need to eat in a theatre are children with no control over their digestive tract. little babies whining for their bottle.

Theaters aren't owned by Hollywood though. They used to be, but US Antitrust forced them to give up control of theaters because it was an effective monopoly of the industry otherwise. They still have the theaters' balls in a vice, but theaters have to make their own money to survive. That's the main reason concessions are so over priced.
