I thought I was the only one thinking this was total garbage
... narcos was about pablo escobar's drug empire. no taboo there?????
Why exactly is it called taboo?
That's a big loss
It's very likely a laundering operation. His dad gets the cash and is only charged 3% corp tax on it.
Either way, it's a enjoyable TV series for me. He's already funded a 2nd season. But it's quite possible it was simply so he got his mark down on the "production" list. He and his dad are writers now and their production company will have something on their name.
It's probably simply for that.

>it's a "journalist has no idea how a business works" episode

Because Hardy's character mind rapes his half-sister and likes disembowelling people and ripping their hearts out and shit.
So? It was worth it and it got nice ratings. Why are they making it sound like it's a bad thing

The two most popular acts associated with the word "Taboo" are incest and cannibalism and the show is about both.
i doubt this is true.
Is his sister in the show older or younger? I've had sex with my older half sister.

Not even surprised, truthfully i knew something shady was going on if hardy was at such a huge loss. Never would have guessed he was working with leo and the other money laundering fucks.
Makes sense now tho
>money launder for friends while making the tv series you've always wanted with your father while giving him a shitton of money at 3% tax and be secured financially for production costs etc
Win/Win situation for hardys.
