Obama didn't easily lend himself to parody. He was very cautious about his image and kind of subdued, he didn't have a larger-than-life personality like Clinton and Trump. He didn't say dumb shit all the time like Bush. He didn't have a mockable personality like recent Presidents.

Part of it is probably liberal bias on the part of the media, but I genuinely can't think of a good, consistent way to make fun of him. You could mock his underlings ("WAIT Holder what do you mean you 'misplaced' 1,000 AK-47s?!") but the man himself was kind of low-profile for a president. Idk, just thinking about doing a bit for Obama is harder than it was for the other 3 Presidents

Obama's public image was in large part designed to avoid being perceived as too black. There are two angles of approach to making a parody of that. One, take it as true. This would make Obama essentially into Tom from The Boondocks. The alternative is to pose that beneath the polished exterior is a suppressed personality that is "hood". Think "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch".

But unless you're a black comedian you cannot do this comedy without major controversy. Cartoonists, who caricature by their very nature, eventually settled on big ears as the safe way of depicting Obama.
