why are biopics trash?
>>79295544
Because usually they deal with not all that interesting people.
>>79295544
Because taking real-life events that happened over the course of several years and trying to adapt them into 2-3 hour dramatic form is a bad idea

They aren't always.
Jobs sucked because it starred an untalented asshole and was about an untalented asshole.

The more recent biopics either deal with modern politicians, scientists or entrepreneurs.
The lives of these people are too well documented though and don't have much adventure or excitement attached to them.
Biopics probably work only for people who died a really long time ago so myth and reality are hard to separate.

Because they try making a person look extremely interesting and suspenseful whilst the individual usually is just a regular person who's had a lot of success. So they try to convey some sort of spiritual message through such a biopic by exaggerating everything and including stuff that never happened.
