I saw this a few years back and I was bored to tears the entire time. It felt like the only directing that took place was making a WWII movie checklist of characters, set pieces, and scenes and they just went one by one until they could crap out something functional.

Every member of the "main cast" had about as much depth as any random soldier that got killed in the movie. Any characterization they appeared to have was the result of being a different war movie cliche than the other guys.
