Great film. Need to rewatch it.
Also before anyone starts. It literally does not matter if the guy that shoots at mads in the end was real or "imagined". The message is the same. The hunt will never end because people will always be suspicious. What is done is done.

Festen is more raw and unrefined compared to The Hunt because of the Dogme 95 movement so some shots are a bit jarring, but both have a well executed impactful narrative.

I only watched Submarino and those two films by Vinterberg, are any of his other films worth watching?
I know he released something last year, but it didn’t catch my interest really.

It's a fucking good movie, everything is done really well, but it's not some age defining masterpiece as /tv/ would have you believe.

That’s not the point.

It's not about "lying kids" but serious allegations against someone with no evidence.
If you read a newspaper headline "anon on trial for rape" that alone is enough for everyone to say that you deserve to be hanged in public and castrated, and even if they free you with clear evidence, your life is most probably fucked unless you are a famous person.
