I didn't mind the ending but I wasn't surprised in the least when I read they stuck the it to the original script

OP here, I really liked it.

Goodman was amazing as usual. The dopey guy wasn't overly obnoxious. And MEW was great.

Also, I laughed when I saw Damien Chazelle listed as a writer. I'm assuming he had a major hand in Goodman's character. He's way better suited to writing dark stuff than that piece of shit script for La La Land. Fuck that movie.
