No. She's a passable singer and a mediocre dancer. There's no reason for her to be cast in musicals. She did the best she could in the non-musical segments (e.g. when she asks Seb to play "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls), but her performance wasn't enough to save the flat character from the script.

I wish that my face was the insole of one of Emma Stone's shoes! I want to spend an eternity pressed beneath one of her wondrous soles.

I thought she totally sold the film. Something about her is really charming and I wish she had more roles that weren't "sarcastic forever 19 year old"

It was prolly her most emotional role yet, extremely human and realistic, much better than the pretentious one she had in Birdman.
