ESB is the slowest of all the star wars movies. People like it because it focuses less on pew pew lasers and more on the characters. Iirc the only war in this installment of star wars is the war on Hoth, everything after is just muh feelings and learning with Yoda.
If you want pew pew lasers watch any other star wars movie.

Empire is the only SW film that looks like a patrician film. The composition of the shots is unmatched in any other of the series. This isn't news, just stating a fact.

What sucks about the OT of Star Wars is the lack of tonal shifts. It's drawn out and meandering, without the frequent cuts of comic relief or sudden seriousness which the PTs are famous for.

The space battle in ROTJ is the best of the OT. Worst film in the OT, but that scene was the best battle.

Iconic sure for special shots that are out to make an impact but the overall style in Empire for even basic shots gives it the edge; Small nothing shots like Han walking through the fighter bay are blocked out really nicely, far more effort to make it look good than they had to use.
