Because they are a giant hassle, you need to have running water in your bedroom, they leak sometimes, their bed frames must be very sturdy and thus heavy, you have to drain it anytime you want to move it, some people get sea sick on them. Its a lot of problems for a gimmick, the benefits that waterbeds provided are accessible with less bothersome technology now
