The only ways to defeat a T-1000 that we know of in the movies:

- Extreme heat (molten steel)
- Acid (in Genesys)

You can certainly try to weaken and slow it by hitting it with liquid nitrogen, but where's that lying around?

You have to try and lure it into a steel mill or chemical factory, but chances are the Terminator knows what's up. It'll be on it's guard.

And it can uses guns to kill you as well as create javelins to impale you from a distance. It's also fast as fuck.

Is it ever specified if he has some sort of central unit in his structure? I mean surely the liquid metal itself can't be sentient or anything, there must be a chip or something in there. Could probably kill him with a EMP or strong enough electrical current.

Every time I manage to blow/cut a piece off of him, put it in a heavy duty Ziploc bag. When he gives me chase, toss one into someone's yard or something so he has to go get it, or put them in random house's freezers so he has to go on an Easter egg hunt and slowly thaw them out in a pot of boiling water.

Why didn't they send the T-1000 further back in time to team up with the original Terminator.
