when they cancelled all the tech tv shows then made a mad dash to replace them when they realized thats where all their money was coming from. Also 80 hours of cops in a row

Over half of the days programming was paid programming and COPS/Cheaters reruns. Consistently cared less and less about original programming, just AOTS and occasional Xplays. Instead of taking the moderate success of Code Monkies as a cue to try to make some more shows, they just cancelled it and replaced it with Space Balls the Animated Series, so when that tanked and was awful, it meant they had NO SHOWS that were worth watching.

Not being TechTV. I used to just leave my channel on tech tv and never watch any other channel. The second it got bought I knew shit was gonna go wrong and sure enough G4 fucked it up. I never watched G4 before they bought up TechTV, it was never available in my area until they bought up techTV so I have no happy memories of what it used to be. I only what it turned the channel and shows I loved into.

Pure. Shit.

I could imagine an alternate timeline where Joe Redifer & Dave White, Clint Basinger, Mark Bussler, Marc Duddleston & Coury Carlson, Techmoan, Chris Alaimo, The 8-Bit Guy, James Rolfe & Mike Matei, and other /v/ personalities are making telekino for TechTV today.
