not getting naked in a scene that would normally require it must be some sort of status symbol for actresses. like, "i'm so prestigious and important that i just flat out don't have to do nude scenes if i dont want, and will prove my point by conspicuously not doing it when everyone is expecting me to do it". i think this is reinforced by the fact that getting naked is something a lot of unproven actresses often have to do in order to get their first good gig, so maybe nude scenes carry a stigma in the profession as being something only unproven newbies have to put up with
