Rick and Morty was solid overall, though quality was a rollercoaster even in each episode. Still one of the best things on adult swim in a long time.
Stranger things was unforgivable shit. Hopelessly derivative and dull. I'm pretty sure the audience of it on /tv/ are all repressed pedos. Only half decent character was the sheriff and he was as generic as they come. Maybe that highschool guys redemption arc but it was so rushed and obvious.
I dropped Westworld after episode 3, wish I did the same for stranger things, but I was stuck at an airport or something I think at the time.

The one time I'd agree with you is that scene where he almost commits suicide. I've never seen the show pretend to be more deep than it really is than that, and even then it wasn't THAT bad, just a tad melodramatic.
