Can anyone recommend me more like this god-tier anime?
>>79135064
if you liked the surreal shit than watch Paprika
also watch Jin-Roh, it's good if you like general violent/dark anime
>>79135064
you'll probably like Neo-Tokyo and Memories.
agreed with Paprika, Jin-Roh isn't as good though.
Watching some Studio Ghibli is always recommended.
Ghost in the shell, Perfect Blue, Royal Space Force, Jin Roh, Princess Mononoke, Only Yesterday, End of Eva
Yeah its called fuck off to >>>/wsr/
an entire board made for people like you
>>79135197
Cowboy bebop film is kino too
Impossible. All anime I watched after being inspired by Akira was shit. all anime looks like it doesn't take its environment seriously and includes all kinds of weeaboo shit that just makes it unwatchable. Like for example if you have a shootout in anime, its fucking retarded. Characters just stand on one place and fire till they are killed. No covering, no tactics.
I liked ghost in the shell, though. Give it a try if you haven't seen it
>>79135255
Stop watching shitty anime, and try to appreciate aspects other than action.
>>79135064
Just watch slice of life with teenage girls.
Princess Mononoke
>>>/a/ is a few blocks to the left
Spirited Away
Hauru castle
It really doesn't get better after Akira.
>>79135356
Fuck you.
>>79135423
If you want something with substance, it really does.
Reminder the rise of /v/edditors coming over to /tv/ as a result of Bane memes has led to a shift in taste on /tv/
99% of the anime threads here are made by /v/edditors who only watch LE EPIC MANIME shonen trash and are too scared to post on /a/ because no one wants to talk about the same 5 old classic anime that only entry level newfaggots know about. Then they cry about /a/ having shit taste and proceed to buy their next avengers movie ticket.
/a/ has actually done a fantastic job at keeping out you /v/eddit scum and so all you faggots come crying here because no one wanted to accommodate your newfaggotry.
Also you all treat /tv/ as a place to ask for recommendations when >>>/wsr/ was made to deal with garbage threads like these that aren't actually discussing anything. This thread should be deleted but since /tv/ mods are garbage it won't be.

ninja scroll
No Ninja Scroll
No wonder this generation is so fucked.
>>79135488
Only like 2 of the shows in that image are shonen, and /a/ has threads about those shows on a very regular basis. In fact, a lot of those shows are probably the most talked about on /a/.
>>79135064
If you liked akira for its detailing watch redline. It's my favorite anime movie for many reasons
If you are interested in elder god tier environmental setting watch nausicaa
Neon Genisis Evangelion + End of Evangelion
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is fucking gorgeous.
Patlabor 2
Patlabor 3
Trava: Fist Planet
Redline
These are all great recommendations! Thanks guys!
>>79135539
This is true kino
Gunbuster
>>79135064
literally doesnt more kino that this
>>79135109
>>79135167
>>79135644
>>79136246
>>79136961
These are nowhere near as good.
>>79135197
>>79135240
Ghost In The Shell, Perfect Blue and Bebop are good, but not on Akira-level.
Your best bet is to read Ootomo Katsuhiro's manga. They're better than the anime, anyway.
>>79137101
hmm
>>79137155
Why did Satoshi Kon have to die?
>>79137294
oh fuck off all of those suggestions are good. the akira film is great from a technical stand point but most of the other suggestions are better in every other way.
>>79135064
Perfect blue
Naussica in the valley of the Wind
Ghost in the Shell
Ninja Scroll
Vampire hunter D (the 80s one)
Appleseed
>>79136154
The origional is far better
>>79135064
if you like reading, check out Otomos 1996 GN - DOMU:A childs Dream
>>79137711
Why would you recommend a book on the television and movies board
>>79137799
why are we talking about anime on the television and movies board
>>79137833
Because they are t.v and movies
Why did no one talked about tokyo godfathers, what is this
Although most Oishii animated movies are confirmed kino, the first and second Patlabor achive the highest level of millitar cinema.

why is this offtopic trash being babysat?
>>79135064
GitS: Innocence
Memories (Otomo Katsuhiro's Memories, 1995)
>>79135488
>pretending baneposting is funny
Goldenboy
>>79135064
steamboy, I remember having it on my psp way back
>>79137675
I'd say that's debatable. The animation and style of Bloodlust is absolutely better, though the story maybe isn't as good.
>>79138401
The animation may be techically better but it sacrifices the asthetics of the whole thing. The origional had the style of Amano with thin sharp lines. As a Final Fantasy fan i love that style. Whether you like the style or not it is very unique
