The fact that it isn't "genre fare." It may very well be one of the most important book ever written.

This description is going to sound weird, but imagine if The Bible was written 10 million years in the future by an evil man who became Jesus by way of time travel to appeal to God to spare the planet from destruction. That's the basic plot, but everything else in the book is nearly indescribable. There were times when I would read a paragraph, not know what the hell Wolfe wrote, read it again, then stare out my window trying to expand my mind enough to be able to comprehend his words. It's a tough read, but it's worth it.

I know they did make a movie and it's not terrible or anything, but the vast majority of this book takes place in his head or is a discussion of political ideas and ideas about human society. The plot and the parts that can be filmed are the least important and interesting part of the book. You either read it or you really don't get it.

The Judge needs to be created using makeup and facial prosthetic, he's supposed to look unworldly. They're going to go the lazy route and just have the guy portraying the judge shave his head and be plastered in white.

Kvothe is a shitty character, as interesting as Rei, I'm here at everything than the original cast.
