>a midlife crisis drama wrapped in a superhero origin story
This is legitimately one the most ingenious movies ever made.

I liked it, not your average superhero movie.

It's so good that a director like Shyamalan could've only fluked it.

His appearance at the end of Split would indicate so. Otherwise, there would have been no reason for it. (Not that that isn't possible.)
>A crisis of faith drama disguised as an alien invasion movie
Ingenious.

Shyamalan has already said in interviews that he plans on releasing a third unbreakable film next.
Imagine different directors had directed Night's films. As stand alones, the only one I barely care about is Six Sense. The rest are over marketed garbage with his name on them. Signs and unbreakable included. Fight me fags.
he succeeded at what Snyder failed, and a decade earlier

There was literally nothing wrong with any of those movies. I still enjoy watching all of them to this day.
Watched Unbreakable just last night, probably his best movie, I love the approach to superheroes. Haven't seen Split but I'm unsure how subtle it is, since Unbreakable's approach was perfect.

kys for ruining avatar dirty poopoo lander
I beg everyone in this thread to go watch Split.
I won't say anything but really just go watch Split.
You'll see why.

how people make capeshit without having Unbreakable inform their work? It's like someone making a film about the mafia and completely disregarding The Godfather, Goodfellas and The Sopranos.
